Ireland pledges further €2m to Lebanon

Ireland has pledged a further €2m towards the ongoing humanitarian and recovery operations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

The money is being allocated by the Government at a conference in Stockholm today aimed at raising funds for the reconstruction of Lebanon.

Around 60 governments and aid organisations are attending the meeting, which aims to raise €263m for the rebuilding of roads, bridges and homes that were bombed by the Israeli military during the recent conflict in the region.
