Jackson's father claims conspiracy in son's death

Joe Jackson thinks Dr Conrad Murray has been made a “fall guy” in his son Michael Jackson’s death.

The outspoken music mogul is unhappy the medic – who was the last person to see the ‘Thriller’ star before his death last June – was charged with involuntary manslaughter yesterday, insisting the physician is just one part of a bigger conspiracy.

Speaking after attending Murray’s arraignment hearing in Los Angeles yesterday, Joe said: "I was looking for justice, and justice, to me, would be a murder charge.

"To me, he's just a fall guy. There's other people, I think, involved with this whole thing. But I think that if he's interrogated - he would come clean and tell everything he knows."

Prior to Michael’s death – which was ruled a homicide by drug overdose last month, with the anaesthetic Propofol administered by Murray considered the primary factor – the singer was rehearsing for a 50-date residency at London’s O2 Arena and Joe claims his son was convinced he would be killed before finishing the performances.

Joe told US TV talk show host Larry King: "He was afraid to even do all of these shows, because he was afraid that he wouldn't get a chance to finish all of them. He couldn't do all those shows back-to-back. Even his kids say that he had told them that he would be murdered."

Michael’s sister La Toya Jackson also spoke out after the court hearing, issuing a statement claiming her brother was “murdered”.

She said: "Michael was murdered, and although he died at the hands of Dr Conrad Murray, I believe Dr Murray was a part of a much larger plan. There are other individuals involved, and I will not rest and I will continue to fight until all of the proper individuals are brought forth and justice is served."

Police have not named any other suspects in connection with Michael’s death.
